A Realistic Look At What’s In My Bag

The woman who owns this purse is very hot and very put together. She also might be a princess. There’s a small caption that says “just girlie things” or “only the essentials”. The items surrounding the purse include Chanel hand cream in the really cool egg shaped container, an Yves St Laurent black card holder, a teeny perfume, a claw clip, a mini hair brush and at least 4 different lip products. The girlies stare at the assortment and sigh. Everything is so chic, they think to themselves, and continue on with their scroll. The seed has been planted though—I gotta get my hands on that cool looking hand cream.

Spoiler alert: I am the girlie. I am the one who unabashedly wants a designer bag filled with gorgeous accessories. I like nice things, and as a strong Virgo rising, I get immense satisfaction looking at these carefully curated what’s in my bag flatlays. Are these images actual reality? Do these bags truly only contain Rhode lipgloss and a copy of Anna Wintour’s biography? Honestly, I don’t care. I love them. And I aspire to have a bag filled with pretty things because I’m literally just a girl, ya know?

So what do you do when you have a dream to have an immaculate “what’s in my bag” bag? You visualize it, you take action, then you make it happen, baby. I’ve been searching and lusting for a new Coach bag for weeks, as a gift to myself for being brave and starting a Substack, and as a cutie nod to this post I wrote about vintage Coach.

Well besties, dreams come true. This gorgeous lady is officially MINE.

She’s stunning. She’s gorgeous. She’s a classy gal who deserves a string of pearls. I love her. I say good morning and good night to this cutie little satchel because honestly, she’s a dream and I’m glad she’s in my life.

She’s coming with me as I go on my three week world tour** and I’m so excited to carry her around. She’s already amped up my vibes and I’m just so grateful I saved my pennies and took the time to find the perfect bag for the perfect time.

So speaking of making dreams come true—the time has come to do a cutie flatlay with a gorgeous bag. Omg is this real life?! Am I a hottie who has her life together? Looks like it babe! Well…maybe? Or…maybe this was taken in a rush on a rainy day with no good natural light as I scrambled to get my cutie butt out the door to catch my flight. The vibes are not quite as immaculate as other flatlays on Pinterest, but this is quite literally real life, so welcome in babes. Without further ado, here’s an unfiltered look at what’s in my bag: travel edition.

My quart sized bag of liquids (make-up, toiletries and omg a purse sized Lake & Skye 11 11 Azure that makes you smell like an Angel I’m OBSESSED)

A snack, obvi

And with that, I’m off to Austin for the weekend! I’m headed there for an Editor Summit with Camille Styles. I’m so excited to spend a few days in Texas! I have one free day to explore, so please drop your breakfast tacos recs and fav vintage shops if you have them!
