I used to dread hosting but now I enjoy it. These tips are great thank you 🫶🏻 I recently wrote a newsletter called Romantic Hobbies - I think it complements your letter well
I love this!!! I am just now about to move into my first home that will have space for hosting and I am so excited (and terrified)! This makes me feel like I can actually do it! Thank you so so so much!! I’m literally bookmarking this for the second I’m able to throw the party I want to!!
Omg omg I'm SO excited for you!!! So thrilled this little guide is helpful 🥹 And I totallyy get being terrified—I've had to overcome all sorts of hosting anxiety and tbh I still feel it. You can do it though!! Let me know how it goes! 💕
I’m so inspired by the simplicity of your hosting, Kristen. I find a lot of home entertainment far too intimidating most of the time (bag of chips! Hahah).
I’ll be making your Boursin, fig jam, pistachio dip thing this weekend and I totally crediting my “Substack friend.”💕
Sheila, this made me cry! 😭 Thank you for sharing—I think there's magic in both a beautiful presentation and just texting friends to come over and hang. Really trying to share that it can be simple *and* beautiful! Means so much that you find it inspiring. I hope you love the Boursin dip—and I love being Substack friends 🥹💕
The Meghan ✨inspired✨ honey lemon cake recipe is such a good tip! I made it using Meghan's recipe and didn't love how the buttercream turned out and ended up tweaking the recipe a bit to make the frosting a little less sweet. But the idea of doing a whipped cream frosting is genius and I think I'm going to have to try this recipe for Mother's Day 💕
Ahhhh I hadn’t heard that the buttercream was too sweet before!Definitely loved the whipped cream and we had lots leftover. I probably could have been more generous with the layers in between! 😍
