WOW, that sounds amazing! I started freelancing a few years ago and thought Iโd be down for traveling and working at coffee shops, but I quickly learned I just want to be home ๐คฃ All my snacks are here and my office is so comfy lololol. Your girl office will be amazingggg when the time comes!! ๐โจ๐
Wow. Thank you for sharing. I felt like I was there, well not for the shower scene, more admiring the espresso machine. Great score! If that is a normal day or close, it was good. I truly enjoyed reading your work and how you made every detail real. I look forward to reading more. Again, great job.
Okay girl i gotta say thank you...i left my job a couple of years ago for this life. Over the time i started questioning it, probably i got bored and i couldn't remember why i started it all. This article reminded me of those first days. This is pure luxury. A luxury i wouldn't wanna give away for anything. Thank you for reminding me to romanticize my WFH life again and Not take it for granted ๐ค๐ค๐ค๐ค๐คโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
Ooooo thank you so much for sharing Shivani!! I totally get it, the biggest WFH challenge for me is feeling lonelyโI always get to a point when Iโm like, ok I gotta go be with people for a little ๐ Youโre right of course, this is a luxury weโve both worked really hard for! ๐ค tysm for reading ๐ฅน๐
This may be my favorite day-in-the-work-life post yet! Reminded me to romanticize my WFH days!! I need to look into pomodoro on YouTube and these co-working sessions?! I feel like we should have Substack sessions!
Omg yayyyy tysm!! Pomodoro videos save my LIFE. Theyโre not live (though sometimes they are and the chat is open!) but the timer is so important to me. Without it Iโd def be on my phone or Iโd just lose track of time and get nothing done lololol ๐คฃ
Your fiddle leaf!!! New fiddle leaf fig mom here - Iโm so nervous!! I water her once a week but bottom water and she soaks it up! BUT a few baby leaves at the bottom have been falling off?? I kill succulents too , so its just a matter of time
Omgg! Ok 1. Congrats on bringing a fiddle leaf into your home, theyโre so gorgeous ๐ฅน
2. I get being scared bc I was too!! Itโs also devastating when they loose leaves bc theyโre so huge ๐ญ You can tell mine has lost leaves at the bottom too!
3. If you just brought her home, it makes totally sense that she dropped bottom leaves! Thatโs her throwing a fit bc she moved ๐ Iโve found that once you get into a routine, just stick to it like clock work. As long as youโre consistent with water, she has sun and she doesnโt move spots , youโre golden!! I also named mine and talk to her, her name is Fiona ๐ชด๐๐
Thank you ๐ฅน ive had her for maybe 2 months, but its been slow with the leaves. I think since they are covered by bigger leaves?? But she is in a sunroom, and it will get cold in the winter so I am not sure how that will do since I dont want to move her, but dont want her to freeze. Ill send updates in December I guess ๐
Haha, they are high maintenance ladies! I know I said donโt move her, but since theyโre tropical plants she probably will get cold so yeah, keeping her warm is probably a good idea, just be prepared for a dropped leaf or two ๐
"It was also your birthday, and after crying for 20 minutes, your husband treated you to grocery store cake with sprinkles and a candle, and your sad tears turned to happy tears. You also definitely started your period three days later. What a time."
hahahaha entirely relatable ๐ Loved this post, fellow perfectionist! ๐ฉท
Loling at the upside down wall paper installation, subsequent tears and remediation strategy of grocery store birthday cake. I feel seen. Iโm obsessed ๐คฉ lol!! Also what is your sign?!!!
Omg girl, that day was a roller coaster ๐ข ๐คฃ And eee, Iโm a Gemini sun, Aries moon, Virgo rising!! Iโm very into astrologyโknowing my big three and my whole chart really makes me feel so much better about myself and just life in general hahaha. Whatโs yours? ๐ซ
Um LOVED this!! Also hi ๐ , fellow WFH girl (self employed for 10 years!) but without the cute office and instead a messy dining room table that doubles as a desk BUT still with the fancy espresso maker, adorable puppy sidekick, and lunchtime walks ๐
And thanks to you I now need to get back into cute to do lists. I used to bullet journal all the time and your photo brought me right back to that!
I understand
I travel full-time and work remotely. ONE DAY I will have a girl office/she-shed!!

The perfectionist tendencies were off the charts that day ๐๐คฃ

Omg hiiii fellow wfh girlie! ๐๐ผ And Iโm lost without a hand written to-do list. Something about writing it down makes it feel more real?!
It's also just more FUN!
this gave me the exact same levels of motivation as when Warner told Elle she wasn't smart enough for law school
Screenshotting this and framing it omg omg omg ๐คฉ
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ omg this is so true!!!
Aw I love this post. Also very much wish it was me! Happy Friday!
