Fist bumped the ENTIRE way through this ✊🏻 I woke up at 4:30 am this morning and spent approx 2 hours angrily tossing and turning before huffily turning to Substack. Was in a bad mood. Read this post and now, actually, I’m in a hotel room with one of my favourite people, have been listening to the birds for hours, have nourished my soul with Substack reading all before 7am, am about to get up and make tea and have left over cake for breakfast, and then will be driving home a little tired to drop myself perfectly on the sofa and have the laziest (and most deserved!) of quiet Sundays. My Sunday suddenly sounds dreamy. EVERYTHING WORKS THE F OUT FOR ME, right!? Right. 🫰🏻

Since I’m not a “girlie “ I don’t know if I’m supposed to be reading this but this is so true it’s harder than it sounds you really have to change your mindset it doesn’t happen fast but I do agree with everything you said except for princess parking won’t catch me saying that lol

lololol if my writing resonates then I’m happy you’re here, and thank you for reading!! You’re right, it does take time, which is why I like to start small. I can convince myself over time 🥰 And hahaha, if princess parking doesn’t vibe, that’s cool! I will say though that my husband now says princess parking too and we always have a little laugh when he does 😂

That’s a great mantra and it clearly resonates with you. My current one is “let it go,” which helps me to put little things into perspective. Also “it costs nothing to be kind.” Well done.💕

Ohh, I love both of those Sheila! Especially it costs nothing to be kind. Thank you for sharing! 🥰💕

Love this! Beautiful reminder. One of my favorite affirmations when I’m feeling overwhelmed or pressured to do everything in one day is “I am not a robot” lol. And then I chill out & work at a reasonable pace.

Omg "I am not a robot" is so good!! I never would have thought of that 🤣 I swear by the Pomodoro method because it helps me take breaks—I would totally work through the day without getting up from my seat with the little reminders lol!! Tysm for reading!! 🫶🏼

umm..ok....you are crushing it with this!. Thanks for opening your mind, body, spirit and space in REAL TIME and REAL TALK! THIS transparency layer takes what you are sharing with us to a WHOLE next level by illuminating how you are using practical application of tools to repair in real time, micro moments that add up to define the day and weeks , etc…..Because it is like what you said, that even if the thoughts aren't in alignment with the mantra – to be the witness of it all and to "call yourself out and challenge yourself to look to see what of that is still true or is there percentage that is still true… THAT is being honest and real to yourself – which is not toxic positivity or spiritual bypassing but is activating your responsibility to gift ourselves " Inner cool girl " or "higher self" or " best self or oneself" ......However you choose to identify that MIND self that knows YOUR truth - when you listen for it......slow down for it. Get still for it . Go WITHIN for it.....then you have unlocked the door on how to create inner sacred space. The true portal to the divine accessed with a few dep breaths…. And when you breaking it down for us like this shows us that WE have more agency over our thoughts and emotions than we realize (d). Truly now knowing there is a power within us but not of us.....and that being able to align with that power is what gives us inner peace and freedom because are safe – anchored in our truth and our values. We may not have control over our first thought, but we do have power over our second thought. THIS INNER SACRED SPACE is where “Cool Girl” can enter and remind a triggered or activated younger self of the difference between truth (little t) in the moment AND your overarching truth (Big T) !!!

100% I've noticed that the "luckiest" people are the ones who already think of themselves as lucky. Thank you for the reminder :)

Yes!! Growing up, my parents used to say that the only lucky one in our family was my grandma, but I swear it was just because she said so 😂 A total vibe! 💓

YES!! This helps me so much too! I used to constantly tell myself I was bad at my job until one day I started flipping it the other way and saying "I am SO good at my job, nobody can do what I can do" and using really hyperbolic language with a hint of sarcasm until it actually became the truth and now not only am I a lot better at my job but I enjoy it so much more. The way we speak to ourselves is crucial. Loved this Kristen 💕

Yeees, I love this! Being delulu can certainly be the solulu sometimes 😂💕 I catch myself sometimes being so self critical and I work so hard to switch up how I speak to myself. You’re right, it’s so important!

Thank you Alison!! And wow, life coaching life! I did a leadership intensive in Costa Rica, which led to an online coaching curriculum and lots of practice hours before I started officially coaching clients. It was an incredible chapter of my life! I ultimately learned that coaching just isn’t for me, but I still utilize so many of the tools I learned everyday! 🤍
